ATHENS, March 26 – RIA Novosti, Alexei Bogdanovsky. entered the Greek police clash with protesters in Athens, firefighters said Thursday evening local TV channels.
Several hundred firefighters held a sit-down protest in front of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the country, requiring them to enter into permanent employment contracts. After that, some participants tried to enter the action at the Ministry, but were spetsna drive away. Police used tear gas and sound grenades.

Previously, firefighters cut a lively road which connects the center of Athens to the harbor of Piraeus, than have caused congestion in the city.
In Greece there is a profession of so-called fire-forest, throughout the country which has more than 5.5 thousand. These people receive a small salary in exchange for part-time employment in the fire season in the rural areas of the country.
In August 2007, catastrophic fires in Greece killed 67 people. Among the measures the Government to prevent such disasters in future were included plans to adopt the so-called seasonal firefighters for a permanent job, but those plans have not yet been implemented.
